This is serious….. Following the huge fine imposed on MTN Nigeria by the federal government, the MTN Group South Africa has announced the resignation of MTN CEO in Nigeria, Michael Ikpoki and that of head of regulatory and corporate affairs, Akinwale Goodluck.
The company said it was part of a new operating structure and
senior management changes.Their resignation took effect from 1 December.

According to report, he anchored an event yesterday for one Charles Esonu in Aba before giving up the ghost this morning. He from there went to Ugwunagbo for another event he was paid, but he couldn’t conclude that event as he was rushed to hospital over blood pressure related issue and he died later.

Harpic Donates Mobile Toilet To Idi-Araba Community In Lagos
Harpic Battles lack of Functional toilet with donation of mobile toilets
to Idi-Araba Community
One of the major concerns for a megacity like Lagos is the issue of
functional toilet facilities and waste management. One statistics has it
that Lagos is home to close to 20 million Nigerians! As a result of
this huge population, some citizens defecate in the open in some
neighborhood. This nauseating habit has been fingered in the spread of
waterborne diseases like cholera and diarrhea.
In
order to help stop this habit, Harpic in Collaboration with UNIC(United Nations
Information Centre) with the support of some government ministries celebrated
the World Toilet Day by propagating the need to maintain proper toilet hygiene
linking the idea to the world wide theme on Sanitation and Nutrition which was celebrated Worldwide on November 19,
2015.
There
was a walk through the Idi-Araba area in Mushin Local
Government to create awareness for proper toilet hygiene.After the walk, there was
enlightenment on how to maintain clean toilet.
For the citizens and invited guest who
converged at Idi-Araba Community School, it was a day to join force to address
negative habit of open defecation and Harpic made donation of two mobile
toilets to the Idi-Araba community.
RB’s
Marketing Director, West Africa, Mr. Oguzhan Silivrili who spoke at the
Idi-Araba Community and Idi-Araba School Complex, Mushin, Lagos – venue of the
event - said the enlightenment becomes necessary because open defecation has a
ripple effect to the larger society as it affects the healthy living conditions
resulting in increased Child Mortality, Cholera, Diahoerria in addition to its
considerable social costs which include loss of dignity or risk of physical
attack and sexual abuse. As a result, Nigeria Loses N455bln annually which is
1.3% of the Nigeria’s GDP to poor sanitation and hygiene which increases the
risk of disease and malnutrition.
Message from
the United Nations Secretary General, Dr. Ban Ki Moon was delivered by the UNIC
Director, Mr. Ronald Kayanja while a brief pictorial presentation of the
Sustainable Development Goals in relation to sanitation/WTD was equally
presented.
This day is
significant to generate more awareness that open defecation not only has higher
costs than any other sanitation practice, it has considerable adverse social
impacts. Harpic has undertaken to create proactive awareness on sanitation
anchored on the World Toilet Day.

Fayose-Buhari is ploting on removing me from office.
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State says he is more politically relevant than former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Fayose added that as the number one citizen of Ekiti State, he wields more power than Obasanjo who “goes to Abuja to beg President Muhammadu Buhari for political favours.” The governor said this during a press conference in Lagos on Sunday.
He said,
“I was governor without a godfather. I was governor for three years but Obasanjo took me out. Obasanjo is now an expired man today and I am still more than relevant. He is expired. He goes to Aso Rock every week to go and beg.Fayose said he had discovered a plot by Buhari to remove him from office.
“How many times did Buhari visit him (Obasanjo) when he was President? Buhari did not go to Aso Rock throughout. He didn’t even go for Council of State meetings. What is Obasanjo looking for in the Villa? A man of 80! What is he looking for?
“He keeps writing to Presidents to nominate ministers for them. That was Goodluck Jonathan’s offence. Enough is enough.”
He faulted the setting up of the Nigerian Army’s Board of Inquiry to investigate alleged malpractices and involvement of its personnel in the 2014 Ekiti and Osun states governorship elections
The governor said since the All Progressives Congress had failed to upturn his victory at the Supreme Court, the APC-led Federal Government was planning to present the army panel’s report to the Supreme Court and ultimately remove him from office.
Fayose, however, warned that if he was removed from office, against the wishes of the people of Ekiti State, Buhari’s government would be ‘brought down’.
He said the international community, including the United States, had described the 2014 Ekiti governorship election as free and fair. He, therefore, wondered why the APC could not respect the will of the people.
He noted that even during the 2015 National and House of Assembly elections, the Peoples Democratic Party won all the seats which showed that the PDP was popular in Ekiti State.
He said, “The APC and the President are the ones behind this. That military panel was selected to do a hatchet job. The same military handled the elections in Ekiti and Osun states. Why are they singling out Ekiti? The PDP won in Ekiti while the APC won in Osun and heaven did not fall.”
Fayose said he would continue to tell the truth even at the risk of being murdered.
“I am going places, I have history to make. I am going
higher and higher. The very day Buhari’s administration faces me, his
government will come down. I am a child of destiny,” he said

The person in the name of Blessing Oyanimigha who shared the photos and statement below alleged that;
“On the 5th of dec, 2015, Bayelsa guber polls election in Oporoma, southern-ijaw headquarters unveiled on a bloody note with four persons gunned down and others sustaining various degrees of injuries from stray bullets and machetes, meted out on them by APC led militants on the order of Donald Egberien, former SSG Gideon Ekewei,” she wrote.
Investigation revealed that, two buildings located in Oporoma belonging to Donald Egberibien and Mr Omiehi aka ‘Oma tein kpo tein’ was used as hide-out for militants, hoodlums imported into the town by APC chieftains, Donald Egberibien and Gideon Ekewei with the sole aim of disrupting the distribution of election materials and inflicting fear on potential voters.
Acting on a tip off, Police men aided by concerned citizens raided the hideout of these thugs and uncovered over 35 pieces of AK 47’s and two bazookas being loaded with ammunition by the militants, to wreck more havoc on unsuspecting residents, but fortunately, the security operatives swooped-in, over powering the militants leading to their arrest.
The JTF was called by the police to assist in the transfer of arrested APC hoodlums,but on getting to the location, the military men released the militants, ordering their doctor to commence treatment on Gideon Ekewei’s younger brother, Foncha Ekewei and other injured militants.
At the time of filling-in this report, Several attempts to get clarification on the where abouts of Egberibien, Gideon Ekewei, Mr Omiehi aka ‘Oma tein kpo tein and the arrested militants from the JTF command in bayelsa has been rebuffed
